When was the last time an engaging video captured your attention? Maybe you watched one of your favorite chefs share a recipe by capturing the cooking or baking process ingredient by ingredient. Or you went on an adventure with a travel vlogger who had already been to the incredible place where you plan to vacation. No matter the case, video has a way of drawing us in so that we pay attention to the person, place, or product being showcased. Perhaps you’re aware of this and you’ve already created a great video for your business, but how have you used it for marketing? Here are 3 ways to use video for marketing if you’ve been wondering how best to get it in front of as many eyes as possible:
-
Make a home for it on your website.
Video is a beautiful and effective way to show your business’ location or sell a product or service. Make sure you use the video on your website. Create a landing page with the video and make sure it’s previewed on your homepage, or better yet, use the video as the hero on your homepage!
-
Take it to Facebook.
According to Hootsuite, Facebook users watch 100 million hours of video every day. Video is a hugely successful way to advertise on Facebook, and can be very cost efficient. So take your video, turn it into an ad, and get your message out to people on the most popular social media platform.
-
Document the process.
Instagram Stories, Snapchat, Facebook Live and more offer options to engage with people as you’re working. Show them the behind-the-scenes view and go live on Facebook during the production process, take to Instagram Stories and snap a few photos of your video editor working away toward a final product, and take to Snapchat to announce when the final video is up on your website. The process and the journey are both important ways to further engage people, so take advantage of it!
